Japanese film animations or commonly known as the world famous term "Anime" is one of the heart and soul of showcasing the rich culture of Japan to the world.

Anime is a form of cartoon originated/created and unique in Japan. However, these Anime films and series are watched, enjoyed, and loved all around the world.

As some anime films/series are created purely in the Japanese language, it is also dubbed and added with subtitles in different languages based on the geographical boundary that it is being streamed at, thanks to globalization.

The acceptance of this culture art form is seen in different parts of the world, especially in America through conventions or anime conventions.

Animewhiz (2021) describes "Conventions are ultimately a social gathering and that means there are plenty of social events linked to them." These conventions catter not only upcoming shows, films, and series of anime but also merchandise or collectables, exclusive previews, cosplay, and competitions.

According to Dallas Middaugh (2019) The first American anime convention, Yamatocon, was held in Dallas in 1983 and attracted 100 visitors. One of the major gathering places for American anime lovers, Project A-Kon, which is also held in Texas, attracted around 400 attendees in 1990. The 1,000 attendance barrier was broken during AnimeCon in California in 1991.
