Apl.de.ap, a Filipino-American rapper, and his Grammy-winning group The Black Eyed Peas have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Black Eyed Peas are the newest musical group to be named to the Los Angeles attraction’s 2022 class of honorees, which was revealed on June 17, 2021.
Apl.de.ap, a Pampanga-born musician, will.i.am, Taboo, and fellow Fil-Am artist J. are part of the musical act. “Where is the Love,” “Hey Mama,” “Bebot,” and “My Humps,” among other chart-topping tunes, have made Rey Soul famous over the world. Avril Lavigne, George Clinton Jr., Ashanti, DJ Khaled, Martha Reeves, and Los Huracanes Del Norte will be recognized alongside the Black Eyed Peas, while rapper Nipsey Hussle will be honored posthumously.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame inductees are chosen from hundreds of nominations by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Panel. “The Panel did an outstanding job selecting these exceptional individuals. We can’t wait to see how each honoree reacts when they realize they’re part of Hollywood history when their star is unveiled on the world’s most iconic walkway! “, remarked Ellen K., Chair and Walk of Famer.
Eight American Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and six Grammy Awards have been given to the Black Eyed Peas. The star ceremonies for the Walk of Fame Class of 2022 have yet to be arranged.
